Website, SEO and Google Maps in one package: your whole online presence hand-built and optimised so customers find you, and yours to own outright. No page builders, no templates: just clean, fast code built around your business.
Handled as part of every build, so you go live secure, compliant, and easy to find: on Google, Google Maps, and in AI chats.
The difference is how your content changes: updated live by you, or updated through development. That decides your build price and hosting cost.
Content updates through development: when it changes, I update it.
Content updates live: I design the site, you edit the content.
Builders are quick and fully in your hands. The trade is what you give up on speed, search and ownership.
You can drag-and-drop the layout around yourself, whenever you like. Total control, at the cost of speed, security and looking home-made.
The design lives in the code, so changing the layout means editing the code, which is my job. That constraint is the point: it is what makes the site load faster and gives your customers the best possible experience. You still edit your own content; the layout stays fast and professional.
My builds score 95+ on Google's own test. Paste a competitor's site, or your current one, and run it through Google PageSpeed Insights. Most builder and WordPress sites come back slow.
Opens Google PageSpeed Insights in a new tab. Independent, and nothing to do with me.
WordPress and builder sites keep charging every month, for as long as the site is live. A static site from me is hosted free, so that column stays at zero.
| PLATFORM | TYPICAL / MONTH | OVER 3 YEARS |
|---|---|---|
| Managed WordPress (WP Engine & co.) | £20 to £25 | ~£800 |
| Shared WordPress host (at renewal) | £10 to £15 | ~£450 |
| Wix Premium | £10 to £22 | ~£580 |
| Squarespace | £12 to £30 | ~£750 |
| Static site from me | £0 | £0 |
Typical figures, for comparison. Most hosts advertise a low intro rate, then renew higher, so the real cost is what you pay year after year.
Many also mark up your domain: cheap the first year, then renewed well above cost. Yours is registered in your own account at the going rate, around £12 a year, with no markup from me.
Most agencies bill a monthly maintenance fee. On a site built like this, there is simply nothing for it to cover, so I don't charge one. A small-business site rarely changes month to month, so paying only when you actually need something works out cheaper than a standing fee for work that mostly isn't happening.
No bloated plugins, no CMS to patch every month. Hand-built code has no moving parts sitting there waiting to break, so there is no update treadmill to bill you for.
HTTPS from day one and almost no attack surface: no login, no plugin, no database to break into. Security you would normally pay a monthly plan for is just how it's built.
A maintenance retainer exists to create recurring revenue, not because your site needs it. You pay only when you actually want something changed, and nothing the rest of the time.
Purely development: hand-built from a blank page, designed around your business.
No monthly fees. You only pay when you want something changed, priced by how big the job is. The rest of the time the site just runs, hosted free, nothing to pay.
If your site on WordPress, Wix, Squarespace or any other builder is a brochure or marketing site with no logins or bookings, I rebuild it as a static site that looks the same and loads faster. Your monthly hosting drops to free from then on.
I build the product; you pay the providers directly, no middle-man markup ever. Everything is set up in your own accounts, and I maintain it through a service account you can revoke anytime.
The site and every account are yours from day one. Nothing is locked behind me or a platform, so you can never be held hostage.
Because the accounts are yours, you get the platforms' free tiers and best pricing directly. No reseller in the middle adding markup.
My access is a service account you control. Pull it whenever you like and carry on yourself, or bring in anyone else.
Your site is built to be found. The Presence Pack is a plain-English guide to everything else that moves the needle: exactly what to set up, in what order, and the best-value places to get it. You do it, I tell you how.
How to claim, complete and post so you rank in the local map pack.
The recommendations that lift your ranking beyond your own site: backlinks, mentions, and the directories and citations worth being listed in.
What to write about, and the search terms to aim each page at.
Which platforms fit your business, set up to point back to your site.
Best-value places for business email, domains and the tools you need, so you never overpay.
The digital requirements to stay compliant: privacy policy, cookie consent, terms, accessibility and UK GDPR basics.
A one-off guide, not a monthly service. Yours to work through at your own pace.
Answer a couple of questions and I'll point you at the right option and an honest price. No email required to see it.
Tell me what you are building and where it is stuck. I will come back with a clear scope and price. The first call is free and there is no obligation to go ahead.
I only take on a handful of builds at a time, so slots are limited.
